OUR APPROACH
Scripture first. Differences named.
Daily Psalms is a non-denominational Christian reflection guide. It helps you enter Scripture with an honest question, understand a passage in context, and take a quiet next step.
What “non-denominational” means here
We begin with Scripture, state broad historic Christian convictions carefully, and name meaningful differences among Christian traditions when they matter. We do not present one generated answer as the final word on a contested doctrine.
A bounded guide, not an all-knowing chatbot
The initial guide covers six common areas: anxiety, relationships, purpose, doubt, grief, and forgiveness. Each answer is constrained to a prepared source packet containing exact World English Bible excerpts, links to full chapters, a context note, a perspective note, and a short practice. If a question falls outside that scope, Daily Psalms says so.
What the guide will not do
- Impersonate God, Jesus, a pastor, therapist, or spiritual director.
- Invent a Bible reference or hide the source of an excerpt.
- Settle denominational disputes as though Christians do not disagree.
- Replace a church community, professional mental health care, medical care, or emergency support.
- Pressure someone to reconcile with an unsafe person or remain in danger.
How artificial intelligence is used
AI may adapt the wording of a response to the question you ask, but it receives only the matching prepared source packet and must stay within it. A deterministic response remains available if that adaptation fails. Source packets are versioned so saved journeys retain the grounding version that produced them.
Safety
Questions indicating possible self-harm or immediate danger bypass ordinary guidance and show crisis resources. In the United States, call or text 988. Elsewhere, use Find a Helpline. If danger is immediate, contact local emergency services.
